Suddenly receiving 1 billion VND, a young man went to report to the police
Gia Lai - The account suddenly received 1 billion VND, Mr. Sang knew it was not his own money, so he reported to the police to return it to the person who transferred it by mistake.
On May 12, Ms. Ho Thi Dao, Vice Chairwoman of Ia Dal Commune People's Committee (Quang Ngai province), said that the locality had decided to commend Mr. Nguyen Duy Sang (residing in hamlet 2, Ia Dal commune) along with Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Phuc and Senior Lieutenant Phung Minh Tien, officers of Ia Dal Commune Police, for their achievements in setting examples of good people and good deeds.
On the morning of April 7, Mr. Sang discovered that his personal bank account suddenly received 1 billion VND transferred by a stranger at 9 pm on April 6.
Mr. Sang went to Ia Dal Commune Police to report, asking for support in verifying and returning the money to the person who transferred it by mistake.
Through verification, the police agency identified the owner of the mistakenly transferred account as Mr. N.V.B. (born in 1984, residing in Thai Nguyen province).
Ia Dal Commune Police then coordinated with relevant parties to support Mr. Sang in completing procedures to return the full amount of 1 billion VND to Mr. B.
Mr. Sang shared: "Although life is still difficult, when returning the money to people who mistakenly transferred it, I myself feel excited and happy because I have done a meaningful thing for a better life.
