On July 15, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union (VTC) held a preliminary review of the first 6 months of the year, the direction and tasks for the last 6 months of the year. Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) attended.

Here, Mr. Trinh Quang Minh - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) discussed promoting the role of the Trade Union in participating in arranging, perfecting the organization and stabilizing employees' ideology in the context of streamlining the apparatus. EVNNPC Trade Union participates in giving opinions and recommendations to the Party Committee and experts on policies.

Including a plan to arrange workers, work focused, and flexibly spread to each professional field at power companies after the merger, limiting major disruptions in the initial stage, affecting the majority of employees. Propose to prioritize the organization of training and exams to transfer the positions of specialists and main specialists for team leaders and deputy team leaders of regional power management teams - subjects who are disadvantaged in terms of salary when arranging and converting models...

As of July 1, 2025, after the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus, the remaining 33 State-owned enterprises (6 units have converted the organizational model from LLC to a dependent accounting unit), 15 non-state enterprises and 15 accounting units under EVN; 42/48 enterprises and 14/15 accounting units under EVN held labor conferences.

In the process of arranging and streamlining the apparatus, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor not only propagates policies and guidelines but also promptly grasps the thoughts and aspirations of union members and employees, participates in dialogues on job placement for employees of the Telecommunication and Information Technology Company (EVNICT) and the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) ... as a basis for the unit to develop a labor plan when these two units cease operations.

1,100 employees in especially difficult circumstances are supported

According to theLVN Trade Union, in the first 6 months of the year, theLVN Trade Union has provided subsidies to visit 1,100 employees in especially difficult circumstances with an amount of VND 2.015 billion, approved support to build 55 new Trade Union Shelters with an amount of VND 3.3 billion, and approved the repair of 10 houses with an amount of VND 300 million.

In the 2025 Workers' Month, the whole industry had over 1,530 gifts presented to workers in difficulty, serious illness, or occupational accidents with a total amount of VND 4.2 billion; visited over 200 collectives in remote, isolated, border, and island areas, and visited key projects with a total amount of VND 6.9 billion. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized delegations to visit and encourage Workers' Month activities at 32 grassroots units and visit workers in especially difficult circumstances with an amount of 2.3 billion VND...

Evaluating the activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the EVN Party Committee - affirmed that the Group Party Committee acknowledged that the Union has launched emulation movements at key national projects, spread the spirit of creative labor, promote initiatives, and improve techniques among union members and workers; at the same time, he requested the Union to continue to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers to jointly remove difficulties.
