Nghia Lo Trade Union donates 500 kg of rice to people in tornado-stricken areas
Lao Cai - After the thunderstorm that caused heavy damage in Thuong Bang La commune, cars of gratitude from the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union promptly arrived at the people.
On March 30, Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union coordinated with Phu Tai Food Co., Ltd. and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuong Bang La commune to organize a program to give gifts to support households affected by the storm that occurred on the afternoon of March 22.
Accordingly, the delegation presented 500 kg of rice to 50 households heavily affected by natural disasters. Many families had their houses completely unroofed, especially cement roof houses; some essential assets such as televisions, refrigerators and household items were damaged, causing great impact on life.
Previously, the Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union coordinated with the Son Thinh Market Grassroots Trade Union, philanthropists, benefactors and Gia Lam Pagoda (Hanoi) to organize the presentation of 200 gifts to support affected households to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Ms. Vuong Thi Anh - Chairwoman of Nghia Lo Ward Trade Union said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with organizations, businesses and philanthropists to mobilize more resources to help people soon stabilize their lives.
