Hai Phong plans to organize a simultaneous Union Meal on the occasion of July 28

The Hai Phong City Labor Federation has just issued plan No. 01 on organizing activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).

In particular, focusing on a number of key tasks and activities: organizing the Conference to commend "Creative workers, Outstanding good workers" in 2024 and awarding the "Treasitional Innovation Contest for Trade Union members, workers and civil servants in Hai Phong City" in 2025; organizing " Peak month for admitting union members, establishing grassroots trade unions", admitting the union membership class "96 years of Vietnam Trade Union"; organizing "Meeting and meeting with city Trade Union officials" and saying goodbye to full-time Trade Union officials who have retired and transferred to work in the first 6 months of 2025.

Trade unions at all levels have increased activities "Caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, and serious work-related accidents"; organized traditional educational activities, offered incense to commemorate at the Commemoration House of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh's sacrifice Day (July 31). Each grassroots trade union organizes at least one practical activity to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

The City Labor Federation also plans to organize a simultaneous implementation of "Union Meal" at grassroots unions in July. Along with that, focus on monitoring the implementation of policies and regimes for workers on social insurance, food safety and hygiene, shift meal quality and policies to improve the professional qualifications of workers.

Previously, in July 2024, following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Hai Phong City Trade Unions at all levels also simultaneously organized union meals at grassroots trade unions to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union. For FDI enterprises alone, 287/347 grassroots trade unions organized Union Meals with an average meal value of VND 70,000/meal, with VND 38,000/meal spent from the grassroots trade union financial resources, the total budget expenditure of grassroots trade unions for the Union Meal was VND 6.8 billion.
