Voluntary blood donation for storage and emergency care during the Lunar New Year
Quang Tri - On January 23, the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation mobilized Khe Sanh, Tan Lap, and Lao Bao communes to organize the 2026 Red Spring Festival.
With the theme "People love to give peach blood - Sweetness gives life", the festival took place in a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the spirit of sharing right before the Lunar New Year. The program attracted nearly 300 volunteers who are officials, civil servants, public employees and local people to participate.
At the festival, volunteers were screened and tested by the medical team, ensuring compliance with professional procedures before donating blood. The organization work was implemented seriously and safely, creating peace of mind for participants.
At the end of the program, the organizing committee received 285 units of blood, supplementing blood reserves to promptly serve emergency care and treatment for patients during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
The activity contributes to raising public awareness of voluntary blood donation, while spreading the spirit of mutual love and responsibility for social health.
