Gia Lai Workers' Football Tournament 2026 finds champion
Gia Lai - On the afternoon of May 23, the Provincial Labor Federation closed the 2026 Gia Lai Provincial Workers and Laborers Men's Football Tournament, the 2nd "Dat Vo Workers" Cup.
At the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Standing Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) - affirmed that the 2026 Gia Lai Provincial Workers' and Laborers' Men's Football Tournament was organized according to plan, ensuring the goals and requirements set out and achieving great success.
This year's tournament has 42 teams from grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) directly under the Provincial Labor Federation participating in competition, divided into 2 competition zones. The western region of the province has 16 teams, the eastern region of the province has 26 teams. The two best teams in each region win the right to enter the final.
After exciting and dramatic matches, the grassroots trade union team of Chi Lang High School won the championship; the second prize belonged to the grassroots trade union of Binh Dinh Pharmaceutical - Medical Equipment Company; the third prize belonged to the grassroots trade union of Asia Pacific International School and the grassroots trade union of Saigon - Central Beer Company in Quy Nhon.
According to Ms. Thuy, the teams all had serious preparation, well complied with the tournament regulations, respected the management of the Organizing Committee and the refereeing team. The players played with a spirit of determination, solidarity, honesty, nobility and fair-play.
The tournament is not only a sports activity but also a practical opportunity to care for the cultural and spiritual life of union members and workers. The greatest success of the tournament lies not only in the winning or losing results, but in the spirit of solidarity, discipline, striving to overcome and the beautiful image of Gia Lai workers and laborers on the football field," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Ms. Thuy sent congratulations to collectives and individuals who achieved excellent results at the tournament.
