Gia Lai western ward trade union signs emulation agreement

Caring for sick and in distress workers

In order to successfully implement the targets and tasks assigned by the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, Emulation Cluster No. 2, including ward trade unions in the western Gia Lai area, has agreed to sign an emulation agreement for 2026 with many key contents, aiming to improve the effectiveness of trade union activities and better care for union members and workers.

The Trade Unions in the western area include: Trade Unions of Thong Nhat, An Phu, Pleiku, Ayun Pa, An Khe, Dien Hong wards with a large number of union members and workers.

According to the signed content, units continue to perform well the function of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promptly propose to higher-level trade unions to visit and support workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, suffer from occupational diseases, serious illnesses or are affected by natural disasters, fires, and epidemics.

In addition, ward trade unions will strengthen guidance for grassroots trade unions to promote cultural, artistic, and sports activities; build a rich spiritual life for workers, civil servants, and laborers.

At the same time, propagate and mobilize businesses to well implement labor safety and hygiene, protect the environment, proactively prevent and limit labor accidents and occupational diseases.

Negotiating wages, bonuses, and meals for workers

One of the key contents of the agreement is to improve the quality of dialogue, collective bargaining, signing and effectively implementing collective labor agreements.

In which, focus on negotiating on salaries, bonuses, allowances, welfare, meals, improving working conditions, ensuring occupational safety and health, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

Units will also proactively coordinate with functional sectors in inspection, examination, and supervision of the implementation of labor laws, trade union laws, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and policies related to the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Ward Trade Unions focus on effectively implementing the work of developing union members, establishing new grassroots trade unions, and increasing the proportion of union members in the total number of workers and laborers in places where there are already trade union organizations.

With the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and high determination, the Trade Unions of the western Gia Lai area belonging to Emulation Cluster No. 2 unanimously signed an emulation commitment, striving to excellently complete the goals and tasks set out in 2026.
