Lam Dong Trade Union successfully organizes large-scale sports festivals in 3 areas
Lam Dong - The Provincial Trade Union has just organized sports festivals in 3 areas, creating conditions for a large number of union members and workers to participate in competitions.
On May 25, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that it had successfully organized the 2026 Provincial Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers Sports Festival in 3 areas including the province center (old Da Lat), the western province (old Dak Nong) and the eastern province (old Binh Thuan).

The division into 3 competition areas is assessed to be suitable for the actual area of Lam Dong province after the merger. This is currently the province with the largest area in the country, the travel distance between the areas is quite far.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, organizing sports festivals by region helps create more favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions and union members to participate in competitions and exchanges.

Many units have proactively arranged work and production to create conditions for union members to participate in the sports festival. Thereby contributing to improving spiritual life and strengthening the connection between workers in localities," Mr. Hoang said.
In the western region of Lam Dong province, the sports festival takes place from May 21 to 22 with the participation of nearly 200 athletes who are workers, civil servants, and laborers from trade unions and grassroots trade unions in the area.
Athletes compete in 7-a-side men's football, women's volleyball and mixed doubles pickleball. Among them, there are 6 men's football teams, 4 women's volleyball teams and 12 pickleball teams participating in the competition.
On this occasion, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation also presented 47 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances in the western region of the province.

In the central area of Lam Dong province, the sports festival attracted more than 300 athletes and fans from many agencies, units, and businesses to participate.
The competition contents include pickleball, men's and women's tug-of-war and men's football.

Meanwhile, in the eastern area of Lam Dong province, the sports festival takes place from May 22 to 24 with nearly 400 athletes from 16 delegations that are trade unions of communes and wards in the area participating in competition.
The teams competed in 3 sports including 5-a-side men's football, men's and women's ziplining, and men's and women's sack dancing. The atmosphere of competition was exciting, attracting a large number of union members and workers to cheer.
The organizing committee awarded many team and individual prizes to teams and athletes with outstanding achievements in the competition contents.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Nguyet An - a union member of Mui Ne Ward Trade Union said she was very happy to participate in the sports festival organized by the union.
Although the training time is not much, union members all try to coordinate well to compete their best. Hopefully, the union will continue to organize more sports playgrounds so that union members have conditions to exchange and regenerate labor after working hours," Ms. An shared.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the sports festival not only creates a healthy playground for union members and workers but also contributes to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports in agencies, units, and businesses.
