In the journey of developing key transport infrastructure projects, Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI) identifies the team of engineers as the core force, deciding the quality of consulting products and competitiveness.

Year 2024: TEDI was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour for the enterprise ranked "Exemplary Enterprise for Workers in 2024" for its outstanding achievements in caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers.

Year 2025: TEDI was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry for outstanding enterprises that achieved the "Outstanding Enterprise Award for Employees in 2025", have a good working environment, ensure occupational safety and hygiene, and pay attention to contributing social responsibility to the community.

Investing in people is investing in development

According to Mr. Nguyen Cong Tam - Chairman of the Trade Union of Transport Engineering Design Inc. (TEDI), in the context of the country accelerating industrialization, modernization and deploying many large-scale transport infrastructure projects, the requirements set for consulting businesses are increasingly high.

Not only requiring optimal technical solutions, consulting activities must also innovate management methods, apply science and technology, improve labor productivity, and meet requirements for quality, progress and investment efficiency.

With the role of Vietnam's leading transportation consulting enterprise, TEDI identifies the team of engineers as the most valuable asset, the core force that determines the quality of consulting products and the competitiveness of the Corporation.

From that awareness, in recent years, under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, the General Director Board and the companionship of the Trade Union, TEDI has focused on building a team of engineers with high professional qualifications, solid professional bravery, spirit of innovation and the ability to master advanced technologies.

Investing in people is identified by TEDI as investing in sustainable development. In 2025, the Corporation spent more than 5 billion VND on training, organizing 32 training courses with 1,482 turns of officials, engineers and workers participating.

The training content is innovated in the direction of being associated with production practice, focusing on fields such as construction information modeling (BIM), digital transformation, project management, survey technology, modern design and management skills.

Training is not only aimed at supplementing professional knowledge but also helping engineers adapt to the rapid changes of the transportation industry, especially in the context of digital technology increasingly deeply impacting surveying, design and project management activities.

Along with training, TEDI builds an environment to encourage scientific research, innovation and technical improvement. Many young engineers actively research and apply specialized software, propose new technical solutions, contributing to improving the quality of surveys and designs, shortening implementation time and saving costs for projects.

Notably, TEDI is accelerating the digital transformation roadmap, considering this as one of the important driving forces to improve productivity and quality of consulting products.

BIM, modern survey technology, artificial intelligence (AI), data digitization, file management and processes on digital platforms are gradually being put into operation. These technologies contribute to changing traditional working methods, strengthening coordination between departments, limiting technical errors and improving management efficiency.

In that process, the team of engineers plays the role of directly mastering and bringing technology into practice. From the design department to the construction site, the requirements for progress, quality and ability to handle technical problems require engineers not only to have expertise but also to continuously update knowledge and adapt to new working methods.

The reality of implementing key national projects also shows the sense of responsibility of the TEDI engineering team. They are ready to work at the site in difficult conditions, proactively coordinate with investors, project management boards and contractors to remove technical obstacles, contributing to ensuring project progress and quality.

The emulation movement for good labor and creative labor is associated with production and business tasks at TEDI, thereby creating conditions for officials, engineers and trade union members to promote their professional capacity.

During the working process, the TEDI engineering team actively researches science, proposes initiatives, technical improvements and applies new technologies to survey and design activities. These initiatives contribute to improving labor productivity, quality of consulting products and business efficiency.

In particular, in the period 2021-2025, 101 turns of TEDI engineers were awarded Creative Labor Certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

This figure is a recognition of the contributions of the engineering team, and at the same time creates motivation for workers to continue researching, innovating and mastering new technologies.

From practical operations, TEDI identifies one of the important conditions for engineers to develop their abilities as being able to work in an environment that encourages creativity, respects knowledge and recognizes practical contributions.

Along with that, the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" needs to be closely linked to production and business tasks, aimed at solving specific problems of businesses and creating practical value.

Digital transformation is also seen not simply as a story of technology investment but also as a process of changing thinking, working methods and building a team of engineers capable of quickly adapting to new requirements. "In this process, the Trade Union organization plays an important role in arousing emulation spirit, encouraging workers to study, conduct scientific research, promote initiatives, technical innovations, and at the same time build a united and humane working environment" - Mr. Nguyen Cong Tam said.

Continue to build high-quality human resources

In the coming time, TEDI will continue to synchronously implement solutions to promote the pioneering role of the engineering team.

The focus is on continuing to invest in developing high-quality human resources, building a team of engineers to meet the requirements of modern transport infrastructure projects; promoting scientific research, innovation and gradually forming an innovation ecosystem throughout the Corporation.

TEDI will also strengthen the application of BIM, artificial intelligence, digital data and new technologies throughout the survey, design and project management process.

Along with that is building mechanisms to encourage, honor and replicate typical creative labor, considering this as an important driving force to improve productivity, quality and operational efficiency.

With a tradition of more than six decades of construction and development, along with a team of experienced, creative and dedicated engineers, TEDI aims to continue to promote human resources in the process of participating in transport infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of the country's transport infrastructure.
