In Tan Hiep ward, Ky Nghe Cua Y A Chau Co., Ltd. (specializing in producing high-class kitchen cabinets) has about 1,000 workers. The care and protection of the interests of union members is always focused on by the grassroots trade union (CĐCS).

In the context of increasing prices of many goods greatly affecting workers' lives, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union has skillfully negotiated and proposed to the company to increase basic salaries and allowances. Faced with convincing proposals, every year the enterprise makes adjustments to salaries and allowances.

Currently, the basic salary of employees and allowances is 8.5 million VND/person/month. If working overtime, employees have an average income of 9-14 million VND/month.

Working at the company, I have an average income of 12 million VND per month. With this income level, each month after spending, I can save 5 million VND to take care of my family" - Ms. Phan Thi Nhi (35 years old, from An Giang) shared.

In addition to salary policies, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union advises the company's board of directors to implement many welfare policies for employees. During the 2026 Lunar New Year, the grassroots trade union proposed that the company organize a year-end party for all employees. At the program, workers were given a lucky draw to win cash prizes with a total value of 1.5 billion VND. Each person was given a lucky draw to win a minimum cash prize of 600,000 VND and a maximum of 10 million VND. The grassroots trade union also gave each union member a Tet gift.

To reduce Tet expenses for union members, in her role as Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union, Ms. Le Thi Huong proposed to the company to organize the "0-dong Tet Market". More than 1,000 workers and laborers of the enterprise benefited from this welfare program. The grassroots trade union also reviewed and gave market tickets to more than 150 people in difficult circumstances near the factory.

On the occasion of March 8th, the grassroots trade union proposed that businesses organize a party to honor female workers. At the program, each female union member was given a 200,000 VND lucky money envelope, and male workers also received a 100,000 VND lucky money envelope.
