Trade Union Homes come to disadvantaged female union members in Lao Cai

Lao Cai - Au Lau Ward Trade Union has just organized the handover of funds to support the construction of "Trade Union Shelter" houses for Ms. Ha Thi Tien - Tuyet Nga Trading Co., Ltd.

Ms. Ha Thi Tien is a union member with particularly difficult circumstances. For many years, her family has had to rent a temporary house, living conditions are poor, and long-term safety is not guaranteed. As the main breadwinner in the family, she alone both supports her elderly mother and takes care of young children, and unstable income makes life always difficult and worrying.

Faced with that situation, trade union levels promptly grasped, cared for, and supported Ms. Tien's family to have the conditions to build a solid house and stabilize their lives.

The house was started in November 2025 with a total budget of 216 million VND. Of which, the family borrowed 150 million VND from the Bank; brothers and relatives supported 35 million VND; union members themselves saved 31 million VND.

In particular, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation supported 50 million VND from the Trade Union Social Fund, making an important contribution to helping the family complete the project.

After nearly 3 months of construction, the house has now been completed and put into use, ensuring basic living conditions, bringing stable and long-term accommodation to the union member's family. The new house is not only material assets but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping Ms. Ha Thi Tien to be more confident, feel secure in working and attached to the business.

Moved on the day of receiving the handover of the "Trade Union Shelter", Ms. Ha Thi Tien shared: "For many years, my family has had to rent a temporary house, life is still very difficult. Today, standing in a new spacious house, preparing to celebrate Tet in my own house, I am really very happy.

This is the most fulfilling and meaningful Tet ever. I sincerely thank the concern and sharing of trade union levels, businesses and local authorities. This will be a motivation for me to feel secure in working and striving to rise up in life.
