Improving skills for grassroots trade union officials in Northern Ho Chi Minh City

On August 21, in Ben Cat ward, Working Group No. 9 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized a conference to summarize the Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of the year.

Attending the program were representatives of grassroots trade unions, trade unions of communes and wards in the Northern region of Ho Chi Minh City, and leaders of Working Group No. 9 of Ho Chi Minh City's local management.

At the conference, the organizing committee assessed the results of Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of the year, and identified key tasks that need to be focused on in the last 6 months of 2026.

Also at the conference, leaders of Working Group No. 9 for Local Area Management of Ho Chi Minh City deployed specialized topics to improve knowledge and skills for grassroots Trade Union officials in participating with employers to organize dialogues at workplaces and employee conferences in accordance with the law.

In addition, the conference also spent time for grassroots Trade Union officials to exchange experiences and share difficulties and obstacles in practice. Thereby improving the quality of implementing grassroots democracy regulations, promoting the representative role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

The conference also awarded commendations from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Trade Union activities and awarded commemorative medals for the Trade Union's cause to 6 individuals.

Leaders of Area Management Working Group No. 9 said that in the past time, along with performing regular tasks, many collectives and individuals in the area have made efforts, effective ways of doing things and made positive contributions to Trade Union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers. The commendation aims to promptly recognize and commend individuals and collectives that have excellently achieved achievements in Trade Union work.
