Grassroots Trade Union in Da Nang summarizes the "Short Story Writing Contest for Children

News from the Da Nang City Labor Federation on August 26 said: The Trade Union Library of Sedo Vinako Co., Ltd. (under the City Labor Federation) has just held a summary and award ceremony for the "Short Story Creation for Children" contest.

Previously, in order to create a playground for children of union members and workers during the summer, the Trade Union Library of Sedo Vinako Co., Ltd. launched the "Short Story Creation for Children" contest. Thereby, arousing the passion for reading books, writing and promoting the creativity of children of union members and workers during the summer.

Mr. Le Hoang Giang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sedo Vinako Co., Ltd. said that immediately after being launched, the contest created a strong spread, exceeding the initial expectations of the organizers, when it received enthusiastic response from hundreds of young writers who are children of union members and workers.

Those are writings containing extremely rich perspectives, from warm stories about family affection, sacred connection with parents, grandparents; happy and sad memories under the school roof with friends; to dramatic fantasy stories about nature, the vast universe.

Each story is a small world imbued with the personal identity of each young author.

According to the organizers, the contest does not focus on elaborate writing techniques or existing templates, but encourages personal voices, true emotions and natural storytelling of children.

Thereby, creating a healthy creative space where children can freely express their thoughts, practice observation, expression and independent thinking.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded the First Prize to the short story "A...I am your sister" by author Tran Vu Nguyen; the Second Prize belonged to the work "Dreams from the Library" by author Tran Truc Quynh and the work "Summer Destruction Squad" by the group of authors Summer Destruction Squad.

In addition, the organizing committee honored 64 young authors who achieved the title "Promising Pen".
