Vinh Long Trade Union spreads 68,239 initiatives, improves productivity, increases income

Thousands of initiatives create an impression in emulation

According to the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), in the period 2020 - 2026, the movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor" was widely deployed, becoming a driving force to promote union members and workers to promote intelligence, technical innovation and improve work efficiency.

The whole province recorded 68,239 initiatives, experiences, technical improvements and solutions to rationalize production applied in practice, bringing benefits of more than 298 billion VND to agencies, units and businesses.

Along with that, 1,148 projects and products were completed on schedule and ahead of schedule, contributing to creating an impression from the creativity of the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers. 107 union members were awarded Creative Labor Certificates by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The emulation movement is not only focused on traditional production but is increasingly associated with digital transformation, automation, application of new technologies and improvement of management quality. Many initiatives directly contribute to increasing productivity and saving costs.

Reality shows that when businesses create conditions for workers to develop their intelligence, ideas from production practice can become solutions that bring practical value. This is also the basis for the Trade Union organization to continue to innovate the emulation movement.

Emulation linking high productivity with good income

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that the emulation movement in the coming time must truly go deeper.

According to Mr. Phuc Linh, emulation should not only stop at praising and rewarding, but also become a driving force to improve labor productivity, product quality and income. Trade unions must create an environment for union members to promote initiatives and access technology.

In the period 2026 - 2031, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation will implement the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income" according to Plan No. 79, associated with the province's "double-digit" growth target and the orientation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The goal is that at least 65% of workers are trained, educated, and fostered to improve their professional qualifications, professional skills and digital skills; over 75% of workers at enterprises have access to digital technology.

Every year, the provincial trade union strives to have at least 200 initiatives of workers effectively applied; at least 20 initiatives awarded Creative Labor Certificates. The profit value from the initiative reaches at least 8 billion VND.

The movement also aims to link productivity with income, striving for the average income of workers to increase by over 8%/year, corresponding to the rate of labor productivity increase; and at the same time improve the quality of negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements.

Enterprises with productivity, workers with good incomes and increasingly strong trade union organizations are the overarching goals. Trade union levels will accompany businesses, encourage creativity and promptly recognize workers' contributions," Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh emphasized.
