Mr. Dong Van Vinh - Head of completion team 6, Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company (Bac Ninh) - has had 20 initiatives that bring practical efficiency, helping businesses save billions of VND, while improving productivity, product quality and income for employees.
One of the typical initiatives is the children's jacket shaping machine. The idea originated from the difficulties in the production process and the increasing demands of customers.
According to Mr. Vinh, ordinary form blowers cannot effectively handle children's jackets due to their small size. Instead of investing in new machines at high cost, he takes advantage of recycled accessories to design and install form blowers suitable for all sizes of children's jackets.

This initiative not only helps businesses save about 200 million VND per machine, but also improves product quality and significantly reduces labor costs.
If previously 5 workers were needed every day to perform this stage, after improvement, there is only 1 person left, but still ensuring product quality," Mr. Vinh shared.
Currently, the enterprise has put into use 10 machines according to his initiative, thereby saving about 2 billion VND in equipment investment costs.
Not stopping there, Mr. Vinh also researched and improved the stage of being the bag of product code F022E.
Before improvement, workers must use curved iron bridges to perform the steps of making the bag mouth, folding the bag, and then reaching the bottom of the bag in turn. Each product takes about 105 seconds to complete.
After research, he redesigned the bridge to be in the correct shape of the bag and rearranged the operation sequence. Thanks to that, the implementation time of each product is reduced to only 35 seconds, while still fully meeting the technical and quality requirements of customers.
According to Mr. Vinh, shortening production time not only helps businesses improve productivity but also brings direct benefits to workers.
When the product completion time is shortened, workers will increase productivity, thereby increasing income. At the same time, working operations are also lighter, psychologically more comfortable and reduce pressure in the production process," he said.
For the team leader who has been attached to the sewing line for many years, valuable initiatives do not come from anything too great, but start from the spirit of daring to think, daring to change.
To have good initiatives, the most important thing is to want to do, want to change, want to improve. When you have that desire, you will focus on observing, thinking and finding creative solutions from your daily work," Mr. Vinh shared.
Twenty initiatives are the result of that persistent process. Not only bringing economic benefits to businesses, Mr. Dong Van Vinh's improvements also contribute to improving working conditions, increasing productivity and creating more motivation for workers to stick with the profession.
In 2022, Mr. Dong Van Vinh was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation. In 2023, he was honored to receive the Nguyen Duc Canh Award of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In 2025, he continued to be awarded a Certificate of Merit for typical advanced examples in the national patriotic emulation movement in the period 2020-2025.
Behind those achievements is a journey of many years of diligently observing and struggling with each production stage to find effective improvement solutions. Up to now, Mr. Vinh has had 20 technical improvement initiatives applied in practice, bringing great value to the business.
