More than 374 billion VND of late payment insurance in Quang Ngai
Quang Ngai - More than 374 billion VND of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance are late payments, of which more than 160 billion VND is subject to interest calculation, affecting the rights of workers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Director of Quang Ngai Provincial Social Insurance, as of July 2026, the total amount of late payment of social insurance (BHXH), health insurance (BHYT), and unemployment insurance (BHTN) in Quang Ngai is more than 374 billion VND, accounting for 5% of the assigned revenue plan. Of which, more than 160 billion VND is subject to late payment and interest must be calculated.
Also according to Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, from the beginning of the year to now, the total revenue of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance has reached more than 4,199 billion VND, exceeding 5.42% of the revenue target for July 2026. However, the amount of late payment is still high, and it is necessary to continue to urge and recover it to ensure the rights to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees.
Quang Ngai currently has more than 200,000 people participating in compulsory social insurance, and 46,400 people participating in voluntary social insurance. The number of people participating in health insurance reached more than 1.77 million people.
In July 2026, Quang Ngai Provincial Social Insurance organized inspections and examinations of 16 units. Issued decisions to sanction administrative violations against 9 labor-using units with a fine of 38 million VND.
Issuing an official dispatch requesting the implementation of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions and providing information to serve the consideration of issuing inspection decisions for 30 labor-using units with late payment amounts of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance from 3 months or more.
Through inspection, examination, and urging, the units have overcome the amount of late payment of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance of more than 3 billion VND.
In addition, the Provincial Social Insurance has worked with Dak Ha Commune People's Committee - Dak Ha Public Service Supply Center to implement Official Dispatch 5644/UBND-KGVX dated June 16, 2026 of the Provincial People's Committee on handling the situation of prolonged social insurance debt, affecting the rights of employees.
