Trade Union Shelter, technical initiatives spread patriotic emulation movement

155 Homes come to workers in difficult circumstances
On July 11, at the hall of Mang Den Commune People's Committee, Quang Ngai province, the Emulation Cluster of the Central and Central Highlands Provincial Labor Federations organized a conference to summarize the emulation in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
Attending the Conference were Comrade U Huan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and a delegation of the Labor Federation of 9 provinces under the Emulation Cluster (Nghe An - Cluster Head, Quang Ngai and Dak Lak - Cluster Deputy, Lam Dong, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri).
Units under the Emulation Cluster manage over 984,800 union members with 143 commune and ward trade unions and 6,453 grassroots trade unions and professional unions.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Cluster's activities achieved many outstanding results. The entire Cluster has supported over 678,630 turns of union members and workers with a total budget of nearly 499.6 billion VND;
The Trade Union supported the construction and repair of 155 "Trade Union Shelter" houses, with a total budget of over 6 billion VND; 2,282 businesses organized lunch meals; over 1 million turns of union members and workers were propagated and disseminated resolutions, policies, and laws;
3,989 grassroots trade unions organized Workers' Month activities; over 385,380 union members and workers were trained and fostered to improve their qualifications and professional skills.
Good labor associated with good income
Patriotic emulation movements are widely deployed, associated with socio-economic development tasks of each locality, units have 8,425 recognized initiatives, making a profit of 36.877 billion VND; 228 emulation projects and products with a profit value of over 4 billion VND.
Speaking to direct at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, proposed that the Emulation Cluster implement 5 key tasks. The Trade Union organization continues to affirm its role in representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the same time, promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions; continue to strongly launch patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income", associated with digital transformation, innovation and green development...
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded flags and certificates of merit to units under the Emulation Cluster for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities and the CNVC - LĐ movement in 2025.
