The training class of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour creates a turning point in changing thinking for trade union officials

On August 21, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) continued the training program for 77 key trade union officials in the Southern region and central industry trade unions in Ho Chi Minh City.

Presenting a thematic report on finance and worker housing, Mr. Le Van Nghia, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, assessed that trade union levels have basically well implemented regulations on financial management and trade union assets in the past time. To further improve efficiency, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Le Van Nghia pointed out key task groups including: Trade union financial management; management of non-business units and trade union enterprises; investment management; worker housing.

In the topic on communication in the new situation, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, emphasized the profound impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on social life and trade union activities. The explosion of AI, Big Data or IoT creates an open information environment, requiring propaganda to innovate towards digitization, personalization and strengthening two-way interaction.

According to Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong, propaganda work should not only stop at disseminating policies but must inspire and arouse the desire to contribute, contributing to building a team of modern, brave and creative workers.

Sharing about the training course, Ms. Ho Thi Lan Huong, Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, said that the training sessions have conveyed many knowledge and innovative thinking for trade union officials in the 2026-2031 term. "Guiding new documents in the class also brings high practical value, directly supporting trade union work in localities," Ms. Lan Huong shared.

On the afternoon of August 21, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour will present a thematic report on Strengthening union member development, building a team of trade union officials, building a strong Vietnam Trade Union organization and improving the effectiveness of Party building participation.

The training program takes place in 3 days (August 20 - 22, 2026). After two days of studying the topic at the Trade Union Guesthouse (HCMC), the trainees will have a practical internship at TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Dong Nai) on August 22.
