Trade union deploys many practical activities to care for and protect children

Responding to the Action Month for Children 2026 and Vietnam Family Day June 28, the Trade Union of Vietnam Post Corporation - VNPost (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology) implemented many practical activities to care for and protect children; and at the same time strengthen concern for union members and workers' families throughout the network.

The activities are implemented closely following the plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the Action Month for Children in 2026, with the theme "Happy, Safe, Steady Children in the Digital Age".

According to the plan, this year's Action Month for Children aims to strengthen the attention of all levels and units to the work of caring for, educating and protecting children; promote the provision of comprehensive services for children, especially protecting children in the online environment and equipping them with safe and responsible digital skills. This is a deeply humane activity, demonstrating the responsibility of all levels, sectors, trade union organizations and the whole society in caring for, educating, and protecting children - the future generation of the country.

According to the VNPost Trade Union, in the context of strong digital transformation, children have more opportunities to access knowledge, expand understanding and develop skills through the digital environment. However, besides the positive benefits, cyberspace also poses many challenges such as harmful information, cyber violence, online fraud and the risk of child abuse on the internet. Therefore, accompanying, orienting and equipping children with safe and healthy internet use skills becomes an important requirement for each family, school and community.

Closely following the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, VNPost Trade Union orients trade union levels throughout the system to focus on promoting propaganda on children's rights, child care, education and protection; raising awareness and responsibility of union members and workers in building a safe and healthy living environment for children. Communication content is deployed in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit, ensuring practicality, efficiency, economy and towards activities that directly benefit children.

Along with that, units will pay attention to organizing or integrating activities to respond to the Action Month for Children through many rich forms such as thematic activities, propaganda on life skills, safe internet use skills; organizing fun activities, creative experiences for children; visiting and encouraging children who are children of union members, workers in difficult circumstances, children with dangerous diseases, and children overcoming difficulties to study well.
