Trade unions bring artificial intelligence applications into professional activities
The Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has just organized a seminar related to intellectual property rights at higher education institutions.
Seminar "Managing intellectual property rights in the era of artificial intelligence at higher education institutions: legal challenges and ethical standards" organized by the Trade Union of the Faculty of Philosophy and Management (under the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).
Attending the seminar were MSc Vu Thi Thu Hang - Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Pham Hoang Giang - Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Faculty of Philosophy and Management; nearly 50 delegates who are trade union members of affiliated units attending.
Two speakers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai - expert on intellectual property and technology transfer; Dr. Le Tung Son - expert on digital asset management and cultural industry, provided important knowledge about copyright with the topics "Managing Copyright in the AI era in higher education institutions in the field of social sciences and humanities" and "Applying AI in research and training: Approach from digital asset management".
Speakers sketched a panoramic picture of both legal challenges and ethical standards that the scientific community needs to aim for. Delegates actively interacted and discussed enthusiastically, contributing to clarifying many important aspects of intellectual property management and ethical standards in the AI era.
According to the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the seminar provides a general but practical view of the development of AI, the ability to support learning and research, and at the same time raises many issues worth considering related to copyright, originality, academic integrity and the boundary between supporting tools and the replacement of creative subjects.
Through the exchange content, participants not only have more basis to identify legal, ethical and academic challenges posed by AI, but also are inspired by many approaches to building transparent mechanisms, standards for using AI and protecting intellectual property in the current university environment.
This is a practical activity, contributing to promoting academic connection, raising professional awareness and adaptability of lecturers and learners to the rapid changes of the digital age.
