Can Tho City Labor Federation visits family of union member who died in traffic accident

On May 31, a working delegation of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LDF) visited, expressed condolences and provided support to the family of union member Son Thi Hoang Nguyen (Trade Union of Mediprotek Vina Co., Ltd.), who unfortunately died in a traffic accident on her way to work.

Ms. Nguyen (born in 1987) currently lives in Phu Giao hamlet, Gia Hoa commune (Can Tho City). According to information from her family, on the morning of May 30, Ms. Nguyen was on her way to work at An Nghiep Industrial Park (in An Ninh commune) when she had a traffic accident. She passed away suddenly at the age of 39 and was 7 months pregnant, leaving many losses for her family.

Ms. Thach Thi Pren (Ms. Nguyen's mother) said that the family circumstances are very difficult. Ms. Nguyen is the main breadwinner, currently has 3 children. Her parents are both over 70 years old, her father is paralyzed and in poor health. Her husband works as a hired laborer with unstable income.

At the visit, representatives of the Can Tho City Labor Federation encouraged and shared the loss with the family and presented support of 5 million VND.

The Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union and union members and employees of the company also organized donations and supported Ms. Nguyen's family with more than 20 million VND to help the family overcome the difficult period.
