Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union accompanies union members to overcome difficulties

On January 22, Mr. Thai Ngoc Son - Chairman of Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union (Lam Dong Province) - said that, authorized by Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the Ward Trade Union has completed the awarding of support to union members and workers affected by the second storm and flood in 2025.

This support is for cases affected by the flooding that occurred in early December 2025.

According to statistics from the Ward Union, after the flood, many union members' families fell into difficult circumstances. Damaged houses, swept away or unusable household items, and interrupted income due to work stoppages to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

Based on the funding allocation of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, in this second support period, the Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union was allocated 113 support packages.

Of which, there are 29 quotas at VND1 million/tael, the remaining quotas are VND500,000. The total support budget is 71 million VND, drawn from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The selection of subjects and support levels is strictly implemented by the Ward Union, based on the results of reviewing the level of property damage of each worker and laborers' household.

Thereby, ensuring support for the right subjects, the right level of impact and in accordance with actual needs.

Immediately after receiving the funds, Phu Thuy Ward Trade Union proactively coordinated with the grassroots trade unions under the organization to provide timely support.

The support items are delivered directly to workers, helping them have more resources to overcome immediate difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.

Although the value of each support period is not large and cannot compensate for all the damage caused by natural disasters, this is a practical sharing, demonstrating the role, responsibility and companionship of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult times.

Previously, in the first support period after the flood that occurred in November 2025, from the budget of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, the Phu Thuy Ward Labor Union also provided support to many union members and workers affected, contributing to helping workers overcome the consequences of natural disasters soon.
