Union Shelters help union members in Lam Dong settle down before the New Year

On January 17, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation announced that it had organized the handover of the "Union Shelter" house to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, a union member of the Hoa May Social Protection Center, located in Duc Lap village, Nam Da commune.

This is one of the practical activities demonstrating the concern and care of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly's family has 2 young children, belonging to a near-poor household in the locality. For many years, the whole family has lived in a makeshift, degraded house, building a solid house is a desire but beyond economic capacity.

Sharing the difficulties with union members, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor has supported Ms. Ly's family with 40 million VND from the sponsorship of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Dak Nong branch. Along with the accumulated and additional loans from relatives, a spacious, sturdy level 4 house has been completed, helping the family have a stable and safe place to live.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Thai - Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation presented a support board for the "Union Shelter" house, and congratulated and encouraged the family to soon stabilize their lives and continue to strive to rise up.

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Thai, taking care of housing for union members in difficult circumstances is one of the key tasks, demonstrating the role of the union in accompanying workers.

Having a new house, the joy was evident on the faces of Ms. Ly's family members. "The family never thought it possible to build such a spacious house. The attention of the trade union organization and sponsors is a great source of encouragement for us to work with peace of mind," Ms. Ly emotionally shared.

The handover of the "Union Shelter" house not only helps union members settle down, but also creates an important spiritual support for workers to stay with the unit and the union organization for a long time.

This meaningful activity also contributes to the successful celebration of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, spreading the spirit of sharing and humanity in the lives of workers, civil servants and laborers.
