Building a "Union Shelter" helps Dak Lak union members stabilize their lives

On April 1, the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor said that in 2026, trade unions at all levels plan to support the construction and repair of 100 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances.

Previously, in the period of 2023 - 2025, the "Union Shelter" program was implemented synchronously and effectively, clearly demonstrating the caring role of the union organization for union members and workers. As a result, the provincial union mobilized nearly 16 billion VND to build and repair 330 houses, contributing to helping union members stabilize their lives.

In 2026, the provincial trade union set a target of 100% of trade union officials being able to study and grasp the resolutions of the Party, the Fatherland Front and the Trade Union; at the same time, strive for 85% of union members and workers to be propagandized and disseminated policies, laws related to labor and trade unions.

Grassroots trade unions in communes and wards continue to implement the solution "Focusing resources on taking care of the welfare of union members and workers", coordinating with authorities and employers in stabilizing jobs and ensuring income.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Lap - Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in 2026, supporting workers in difficulty to settle down and find a job is a key task. Trade unions at all levels will review and make a list of union members with housing difficulties to provide timely support.

Union Shelter is not only a house but also a symbol of sharing and colleague spirit. Thereby, contributing to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations and actively contributing to the development of Dak Lak province.
