Nam Dong Ha Ward Labor Union deploys plan to take care of Tet for union members

On the afternoon of January 21, the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union (Quang Tri Province) held a conference to deploy union tasks in 2026, and at the same time deploy activities to care for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union informed about the results of the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress; reported on the outstanding results of the Ward Trade Union since its establishment and agreed on key tasks in 2026.

According to the report, the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union currently has 77 grassroots unions with 2,598 union members. In 2025, the Ward Trade Union will promote grassroots activities, many units will organize congresses and conferences according to plan; at the same time, actively mobilize and support social security. The total amount of support for localities affected by natural disasters reached 176 million VND, promptly supporting 22 union members affected by floods.

The work of caring for union members' lives continues to receive attention with many practical activities, including supporting union members to participate in the "Union Tet Market" with 400 gifts, worth a total of 200 million VND.

Entering 2026, Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union has identified 9 key targets, including: developing new members from 100150 union members; establishing 23 grassroots trade unions; striving for 90% of enterprises with 10 or more employees to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; enhancing vocational training for union officials; coordinating inspection and supervision from 510 enterprises to protect the legitimate rights and interests of employees. Along with that, it is necessary to promote legal dissemination, effectively implement major tasks such as Workers' Month 2026, and take care of Tet for union members and workers.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union also deployed a plan to take care of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026 with the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng", the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet". The peak activities are expected to take place from January 28 to February 12. Notably, the program "Union Year's Meal" is expected to be held at a rate of 70,000 VND/meal, contributing to creating an atmosphere of solidarity and attachment between union members, workers and the Union organization.

The Standing Committee of the Nam Dong Ha Ward Trade Union recommends that grassroots trade unions closely follow the set targets, innovate methods of operation; strengthen propaganda work, hang banners, slogans, launch a general environmental sanitation campaign and accompany localities in propagating the election of National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, term 2026-2031.
