Taking care of Tet 2026, Can Tho Trade Union focuses on workers
Can Tho - The City Trade Union will focus resources and prepare activities to care for Tet for union members and workers.
On January 15, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) held the first Conference of the Executive Committee of the City Labor Federation (term I), term 2025-2030.
The conference presented draft regulations including the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee (EC), the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (term I), the 2025 - 2030 term; announcement of assignment of tasks to Executive Committee members, members of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation; full-term working program of the City Labor Federation Executive Committee; announcement of assignment of clusters for direction and emulation of the City Labor Federation; Working regulations of the City Labor Federation Inspection Committee; inspection and supervision program of the City Labor Federation Inspection Committee...
At the conference, delegates expressed their agreement and contributed many constructive opinions to complete the drafts, contributing to improving the effectiveness of Trade Union activities in the coming time.
Concluding the conference, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the participating delegates.
The conference has completed the contents and programs set out, contributing to creating a foundation for the new Executive Committee to operate stably, consistently and effectively from the beginning of the year.
The Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation requested members of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to continue to send documents contributing to the drafts to promptly promulgate and strictly implement the approved regulations, ensuring the principle of democratic centralism, clear assignment, promoting personal responsibility and especially the responsibility of the leader.
At the same time, focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; continue to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining, proactively participate in building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, promptly grasp and resolve recommendations and concerns from the grassroots. In particular, the City Labor Union will focus resources and prepare activities to care for members and employees on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, the unit will deploy a variety of forms, creating a peak period of care and support for union members and employees; especially, paying attention to and supporting those in difficult circumstances, affected by natural disasters, serious illnesses or job loss, contributing to stabilizing labor relations, ensuring social security.
With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet", city-level care activities will include many outstanding programs such as visiting, giving gifts, wishing Tet to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, low income; the program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" directly and online; meetings of union officials through the periods; programs accompanying businesses, grassroots unions and in social security work...
