Opening of the second working session of the Can Tho City Trade Union Congress
Can Tho - President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang attended and directed the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
On the morning of December 29, the 1st Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, entered the second working session.
The Congress was attended by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; along with representatives of the leaders of the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city; representatives of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor;...
The Congress summoned 300 official delegates, representing nearly 140,000 union members of Can Tho City.
On today's working day, the Congress will listen to a summary report on the results of Trade Union activities and the workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) movement, period 2023-2025; directions, tasks, and solutions to promote the movement of CNVCLD and the activities of the City Trade Union in the new term 2025-2030; report on the synthesis of opinions and recommendations of union members and CNVCLD to the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Party committees and authorities.
The Congress will also announce the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Inspection Committee and positions in the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee; appoint delegates to attend the 14th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 and vote to approve the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030.
