Trade union brings Tet early to more than 1,200 garment workers in Lam Dong

On January 27, Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of First Team Vietnam Garment Co., Ltd. Branch (Loc Son Industrial Park, Lam Dong province) said that the enterprise currently has more than 1,200 employees.

In harmony with the exciting emulation atmosphere to celebrate the success of the 14th National Party Congress, grassroots trade unions are making efforts to organize many activities to care for Tet early for union members and workers.

Notably, the trade union selected and introduced 30 union members and workers to participate in the "Online Trade Union Tet Market" organized by the General Confederation; and at the same time guided the process and operations of purchasing goods. Up to now, 100% of participating union members have received all goods, ensuring the correct type and quality.

The Trade Union Executive Committee also surveyed the Tet gift needs of union members and workers as a basis for preparing suitable gifts. Recently, the trade union presented Tet gifts to 100% of union members and workers, including essential goods and spices for Tet, worth more than 350,000 VND/gift.

According to Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh, giving Tet gifts early aims to create a joyful and excited atmosphere to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress, and at the same time help union members and workers proactively prepare Tet for their families.

Ms. Ka Luan, a garment worker at the branch, said that union members and workers are all excited to receive meaningful gifts. According to her, the trade union and the Board of Directors of the company always care for and take care of workers' lives, especially during holidays and Tet.

“The gifts are very practical, helping families celebrate Tet more fully. We are very happy and touched to always be cared for and encouraged in time,” Ms. Ka Luan shared.
