Da Nang presents 1,000 gifts to workers during Workers' Month

Da Nang City Labor Federation on May 9 said it is implementing a practical support program to share difficulties with workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.

Accordingly, the unit spent more than 2 billion VND to give 1,000 gifts and support 10,000 shopping vouchers for union members and workers. The gifts contribute to reducing spending pressure, encouraging workers to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

In addition to supporting gifts, the City Labor Federation also supported funding for repairing and building 16 new houses for union members and workers in housing difficulties. This is a practical activity, helping many workers' families have safe and stable long-term housing.

During Workers' Month, grassroots trade unions and businesses also coordinated to organize the "Trade Union Meal" program, supporting gasoline money for workers. The activities aim to share the burden of living and travel expenses in the context that many workers still face income difficulties.

Ms. Vo Thi Chin, a worker working at Hoa Cam Industrial Park, was moved when receiving support from the trade union organization. She said that her family's house has been degraded for many years but has not had the conditions to repair it. Thanks to financial support, her family borrowed more to build a new home, feel secure in working and stabilizing their lives.

Caring activities during Workers' Month continue to affirm the role of the trade union organization in accompanying workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances.
