When labor safety and union member welfare become top priorities
Gia Lai - The Ward Trade Union affirms that it will not leave any workers behind, especially those who have had labor accidents or suffer from serious illnesses.
Caring for workers in difficult circumstances
On May 9, the People's Committee of Thong Nhat Ward coordinated with the Ward Trade Union to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and the opening of the 2026 Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers (CNVCLĐ) Sports Festival.
This is a series of key activities to realize the commitment to care for life, health and protect the legitimate rights of workers (NLĐ).

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Pham The Tam - Chairman of Thong Nhat Ward People's Committee affirmed that labor safety assurance is a key and continuous task. In the context of rapidly increasing labor force in the locality in terms of quantity, production pressure and the risk of labor accidents and occupational diseases, more drastic involvement is required from the government, businesses and workers themselves.
The consistent message of the program is that each business needs to proactively build a civilized and safe working environment; each employee must raise the awareness of self-protection. Because behind each production line is the silent dedication of the team of workers and employees - those who deserve to be honored and protected.
At the ceremony, 14 meaningful gifts from the Ward Trade Union and companion units including BIDV Bank Gia Lai branch and Truong Sinh Company were handed directly to union members in particularly difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 1.5 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 500,000 VND.

Ms. Truong Thi My Le - Chairwoman of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union shared: "We will continue to innovate operating methods, closely follow the thoughts and aspirations of union members. The goal is not to leave any workers behind, especially those who have had labor accidents or suffer from serious illnesses.
Launching a sports movement to connect spirit and culture
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation also commended and rewarded 1 collective and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2025 emulation movement, contributing to spreading the spirit of creative labor in the community.

In addition to taking care of union members' lives, the Action Month 2026 especially emphasizes building a "safe labor culture". Reality shows that many risks stem from subjectivity, lack of skills or negligence in procedures. Therefore, skills training and dissemination of legal knowledge on OSH are determined to be carried out regularly, in depth, instead of just stopping at slogans.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the atmosphere became exciting with the 2026 CNVCLĐ Sports Festival. Hundreds of athletes from grassroots trade unions under Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union participated in competing in 3 events including tug-of-war, sack jumping and team rope jumping, in the enthusiastic cheers of a large number of union members.
This is not only a physical training playground but also a "rope" connecting units, helping workers regenerate energy and strengthen solidarity after stressful working hours.
The series of activities in the Launching Ceremony of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month 2026 sent a strong message: the sustainable development of businesses and localities must always go hand in hand with a safe, humane and sharing working environment.
