Providing safe and stable accommodation for about 40,000 workers and laborers

On the afternoon of May 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing rental housing for workers and laborers in Ho Chi Minh City with the Thien Phat Joint Stock Company group.

Accordingly, in the implementation phase, the parties plan to coordinate in implementing many housing projects, worker dormitories and apartment rental and lease-purchase areas in Ho Chi Minh City to meet the housing needs of workers, laborers and eligible subjects according to legal regulations.

For housing projects implemented by Thien Phat Tourism Service Production Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, including: Linh Trung II Export Processing Zone Workers' Accommodation Project with a scale of 242 apartments located in Tam Binh ward and Social Apartment Area Project expected to have a scale of about 6,000 - 7,000 apartments for rent and lease-purchase in Tan Hai ward.

For the housing project implemented by Thanh Binh Construction Production Joint Stock Company, it has a scale of 5,847 apartments, including kindergarten, community activity area and commercial service area in Binh Duong ward.

For the project implemented by Thien Phat Construction Investment Trading and Development Co., Ltd., it is expected to have a scale of 1,900 units, including 900 apartments for rent and 1,000 apartments for lease-purchase in Binh Co ward.

The total scale of the above-mentioned projects is expected to be able to provide thousands of apartments and accommodations, meeting the needs of safe and stable accommodation for about 40,000 workers and families at a reasonable cost, and at the same time forming a synchronous infrastructure ecosystem including kindergartens, medical facilities, community living areas and service facilities in the direction of an industrial-adjacent urban model.

Based on the results of the implementation of these projects, with land funds suitable to the existing investor's plan, the parties set a goal to coordinate the development and completion of at least 6,000 - 8,000 houses for workers to rent and lease-purchase by 2030, contributing to the implementation of Ho Chi Minh City's social housing development goals.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation signed a memorandum of cooperation with 6 businesses to develop 115,000 houses for workers and laborers to rent.

This is a practical action to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the 50th anniversary of Saigon City - Gia Dinh honored to be named Ho Chi Minh City and contribute to the implementation of the goal of developing 200,000 social housing units by 2030 in Ho Chi Minh City according to Plan No. 06-KH/TU dated July 30, 2025 of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
