Can Tho establishes a Management Board of the Capital Support Fund for Poor Workers

The conference was attended by Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

At the conference, representatives of the Organization - Inspection Department of the Can Tho City Labor Federation announced the Decision on the establishment of the Program and Project Management Board for microfinance of the Fund for Poor Workers of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (Fund Management Board) and the Decision on the assignment of concurrently holding the position of Director of the Fund for Poor Workers of the Can Tho City Labor Federation.

Accordingly, the Fund Management Board includes Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the City Party Committee, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation as Head of the Management Board; Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Phuong - Member of the Executive Committee, Chief Accountant of the City Labor Federation, Member of the Management Board and Ms. Ngo Thuy Phuong - Deputy Director of the Capital Support Fund, Standing Member of the Management Board.

Announcing the Decision to assign Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Phuong - Member of the Executive Committee, Chief Accountant of the City Labor Federation to concurrently hold the position of Director, as the legal representative, responsible for managing, operating and damining the highest legal role of the Capital Support Fund.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai said that the Support Fund was originally established with the goal of supporting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, demonstrating the role, responsibility and concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives and jobs of union members and workers. She requested the Capital Support Fund Management Board to develop and complete operating regulations, ensuring the management and use of capital for the right purpose, effectively and transparently.
