Can Tho Trade Union takes care of union members, prepares for a warm and meaningful Tet

In the third quarter of 2025, Can Tho City Trade Unions at all levels will carry out many activities to care for the lives and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers. The City Labor Federation has organized visits and worked at 28 grassroots unions and enterprises to promptly share and remove difficulties after the arrangement and merger.

127 enterprises organized Union Meals for nearly 48,000 workers with a total cost of more than 2.27 billion VND. Many trade unions organized sports festivals and gave gifts to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. Selecting 8 creative models, selecting 2 models to attend the "Creative Labor Festival 2025" in Hanoi and being awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the General Confederation.

Coordinate the implementation of 3 "Fatherland Flag Road" projects to celebrate major holidays, organize free cancer screening for 100 union members; donate 23 "Union Shelters", 4 "Love Shelters" and a support fund to 12 union members in difficult circumstances. In addition, 2,242 scholarships have been awarded to workers' children with a total value of more than 1 billion VND and support union members who have had work-related accidents.

The Trade Union coordinated with the City Youth Union and the Youth Union to mobilize nearly 2 billion VND in goods to support people in the flood-hit areas in the North. Organize the "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" program for children of employees with hundreds of scholarships and gifts. On the occasion of the opening of the new school year, a total of 80 million VND, 50 pairs and 2.5 million notebooks were mobilized to support disadvantaged students.

The City Labor Federation will consider selecting the first "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Members" Award and rewarding the "Good at public work, good at home work" movement for the period 2020 - 2025 according to the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In her speech, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao acknowledged the achievements of the city's Trade Unions at all levels, and at the same time suggested continuing to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially during the 2026 Lunar New Year.

She noted the coordination of organizing "Union Tet Market", "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ket Ket", ensuring that all union members have a warm and meaningful Tet; promoting emulation of good and creative workers, developing union members, and establishing grassroots unions in the non-state sector. At the same time, strengthen coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, improve the effectiveness of propaganda, supervision, social criticism and perfect the team of union officials to meet the requirements in the new period.

At the conference, the Can Tho City Labor Federation announced the assignment of tasks as members of the Executive Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building a strong Trade Union organization; patriotic emulation movements were commended and rewarded.
