Lao Cai presents 1,500 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances
Lao Cai - 1,500 workers in difficult circumstances will be given gifts when attending the Tet Sum Vay Program.
On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and to celebrate the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, Lao Cai province plans to establish 19 delegations to visit and give gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, the elderly, poor households, workers in difficult circumstances and people in the localities, to ensure that everyone and every family can enjoy Tet and celebrate Spring.
According to the Plan, the whole province will give 38,220 Tet gifts to collectives and individuals. Of which, 11,680 gifts were given to people with revolutionary contributions and relatives; 1,307 gifts were given to the elderly aged 90 and 100; 22,944 gifts were given to poor households; 1,500 gifts were given to workers in difficult circumstances to participate in the Tet Sum Vay Program...
For the collective, Lao Cai province presented 96 gifts to agencies and units on duty for Tet, serving the people, ensuring security and order, taking care of people's health, managing border gates and a number of units outside the province that are raising and caring for people with meritorious services and children in special circumstances.
The level of gifts is regulated to suit each group of subjects. For workers in difficult circumstances, officers and civil servants of the Social Work and Social Protection Center will receive from 500,000 - 800,000 VND/salary.
The implementation budget is arranged from the provincial budget, the provincial Trade Union Social Fund and social mobilization sources.
