Lao Cai Trade Union shares with workers in difficult circumstances

At Benchmark Industries Co., Ltd. (Southern Industrial Park), Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directly visited and encouraged union members and workers.

The Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor shared the difficulties that workers faced after the circulation of storm No. 10, and presented 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to those severely affected.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem acknowledged the efforts of the enterprise in urgently overcoming difficulties and stabilizing production. At the same time, it is recommended that grassroots trade unions and companies continue to pay attention to working conditions, ensuring labor safety and taking better care of the lives of workers, especially those facing difficulties after the storm.

Also in the program, the working group visited and presented support gifts to Mr. Nguyen Trong Lam, a union member of the Trade Union of hereco Yen Son Company Limited, who unfortunately had a work accident and was assessed to have a working capacity reduction of 38%.

On behalf of the working group, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor kindly visited Mr. Lam and his family to overcome difficulties and continue to strive in life; at the same time, he requested the grassroots trade unions and enterprises to continue to pay attention and create conditions to support union members during the treatment and health recovery process.

Activities to care for union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, those who have suffered work accidents or those affected by natural disasters, are always a regular task of the trade union organization.

This is also a meaningful activity of Lao Cai provincial trade unions at all levels towards welcoming the first Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem shared.
