Lao Cai Trade Union supports businesses and workers affected by floods
Lao Cai The Provincial Federation of Labor has just organized working delegations to visit and support union members, workers and businesses affected by storm No. 10.
The recent storm No. 10 (Bualoi) caused widespread heavy rain and strong winds, causing many businesses in Lao Cai province to suffer property damage, machinery, factories, production interruptions, directly affecting jobs and the lives of workers.
In order to promptly share, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has quickly directed trade unions at all levels to review and grasp the damage situation; at the same time, established working groups to directly visit, encourage and support workers and enterprises to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize production.
The No. 1 working group led by Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation visited and worked at a number of enterprises and production facilities in the area managed by Yen Bai ward and Au Lau ward unions that were severely affected.
The No. 2 working group led by Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice President of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation directly visited, grasped the situation and presented support in industrial parks and industrial clusters - where there were many workers.
By October 6, working delegations of Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor had visited and presented gifts to 176 union members and workers who suffered damage to their houses, property and household items.
Lao Cai Trade Union has provided each person with direct support of VND 1,000,000, helping to reduce immediate difficulties and supporting each enterprise with VND 2,000,000 to encourage and motivate the collective spirit of cadres and workers to continue to strive to restore production.
Union levels always accompany and share with union members, workers and businesses in difficult times. Although the support source is not large, it is a heart, a timely sharing, demonstrating the responsibility of the trade union organization towards workers, contributing to helping union members and enterprises soon stabilize their lives and production and business activities" - Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation emphasized.
