Supporting workers to claim benefits of more than 2.5 billion VND

Standing side by side with workers in all circumstances

After merging the old Binh Dinh and the old Gia Lai into the new Gia Lai province, the Provincial Federation of Labor manages 90.729 workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD), a decrease of 82,183 people compared to the beginning of the term, due to many administrative agencies and units stopping trade union activities...

In that context, Trade Unions at all levels proactively perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers. Through thematic meetings with voters, the organization received 34 direct opinions and 119 recommendations and proposals from union members and employees.

Trade unions at all levels have chaired 364 supervisions, participated in 567 supervisions and organized 246 social criticism sessions, focusing on salary policy, social insurance, labor contracts and occupational safety and hygiene. In particular, the union has supported union members and employees to reclaim their rights with a total amount of more than 2.5 billion VND.

The work of caring for material and spiritual life also achieved many results. Annual activities such as Lunar New Year, Workers' Month, and union member welfare programs have visited and supported more than 449,809 employees with a total cost of 186 billion VND; built and repaired 142 "Union Shelters" and "People's House" with a total cost of over 6 billion VND; mobilized to increase the value of shift meals by over 18,000 VND/meal at 245 enterprises.

Trade unions at all levels mobilize employees to participate in social funds, donate blood voluntarily and support people affected by natural disasters... with a total budget of over 31.6 billion VND, contributing to improving social security...

Innovation for workers

For the 2025-2030 term, the Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union aims to innovate the organization and operation of the Trade Union in a streamlined, flexible, professional and modern direction, focusing on the grassroots. Maintain the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of employees. At the same time, the Trade Union will strengthen the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions and improve the quality of the staff, contributing to building Gia Lai into a province with comprehensive development.

The provincial trade union sets 12 annual targets, including: Developing 5,000 new union members/year; 90% of union members are propagandized and studied policies and laws; 65% of workers improve their qualifications and professional skills; 100% of state-owned trade unions and 85% of non-state trade unions implement democratic regulations; 100% of labor disputes have union representatives; 1,500 initiatives of union members and employees and 8 research topics are applied and rewarded; each trade union introduces at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party; 100% of union officials are trained in professional skills and skills; 90% of commune/ward trade unions, 85% of state-owned trade unions and 65% of non-state trade unions are good-quality; 100% of trade unions are qualified to establish a Women's Union; conduct inspection and supervision, at least 20% of enterprises are subject to financial inspection and reward; each trade union builds a new model of activities in the new activity.

By the end of the term, strive for the whole province to have over 100,000 union members; 100% of non-state enterprises with 20 or more employees to establish a union organization; 85% of enterprises and units with unions to sign Collective Labor Agreements, of which at least 60% are of type B or higher.

Mr. Ha Duy Trung, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized that the Congress is a milestone in method innovation, improving the quality of Trade Union activities, meeting the requirements of the working class and laborers in the new period.

The 2025-2030 term requires innovation in care work towards practicality and sustainability, avoiding spreading and formality. The team of union cadres is built according to the criteria of " daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility", having strong political will, understanding the law, grasping the life of workers, being close to the grassroots, speaking and doing.

The new term Assembly clearly identifies the role of accompanying the government and enterprises in building a modern and strong working class and trade union organization of Gia Lai province, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country, Mr. Ha Duy Trung affirmed.
