Lao Cai equips industrial park workers with drug prevention and control knowledge
Lao Cai 150 workers and laborers in Tang Loong Industrial Park have been disseminated knowledge about traffic safety and drug prevention.
On September 26, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to disseminate laws on traffic safety and order and prevent and combat drug crimes, prostitution, and human trafficking among workers and laborers in Tang Loong Industrial Park.
In recent years, the work of propagating, disseminating and educating the law for union members and workers in industrial parks, economic zones, industrial clusters and enterprises in the province has always been of interest to trade unions and industry levels.
According to the assessment of the authorities, the situation of traffic accidents, drug abuse, prostitution and human trafficking crimes is complicated, posing many potential risks to the lives, jobs, and family happiness of workers.
Equipping union members and workers with legal knowledge and preventive skills is therefore considered an urgent task, contributing to building a safe and healthy working environment, while supporting businesses in building a civilized corporate culture.
According to Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of Lao Cai province, today's conference is of practical significance, helping to raise awareness and responsibility of union members and workers in complying with the law on traffic safety and order, while proactively preventing and combating social evils such as drugs, prostitution, and human trafficking.
In addition to the propaganda content, the Trade Union Committees of industrial parks and economic zones also deploy the donation of 50 helmets worth VND 250,000/piece to union members, in coordination with Mobifone network to give 150 SIM cards with a total value of more than VND 24 million to workers and laborers.
This activity not only contributes to raising legal awareness among union members and workers but also demonstrates the practical concern of the trade union organization for the lives, jobs and safety of workers and laborers.
