Article 24 of the Law on E-commerce (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the responsibilities of livestreamers as follows:
1. Providing information to the owner of the e-commerce platform to serve the authentication of the identity of the livestream seller.
2. Follow the regulations on livestream sales activities that have been made public on the platform during the livestream sales process.
3. Resign to cooperate when the seller does not provide complete information as prescribed in Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 23 of this Law.
4. Do not provide false or confusing information about the uses, origin, quality, prices, promotional policies, warranties and other contents related to goods and services.
5. To implement advertising content that has been confirmed by a competent state agency for goods and services according to the provisions of law, the advertising content must be confirmed.
6. Do not use language, images, clothes, or unethical behavior, just customs during livestream sales.
7. Stop cooperation, stop broadcasting, remove displayed information immediately upon discovery or at the request of the seller or at the request of a competent state agency for the act of violating the law.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, livestream sellers have the above responsibilities.
