Hanoi - The Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union identified one of the coordination target groups as 75-80% of affiliated units participating in the Collective Labor Agreement.

At the 7th Congress held at the end of December 2025, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union identified one of the coordination target groups as 75-80% of affiliated units participating in the Collective Labor Agreement.

During the past term, the negotiation and signing of Collective Labor Agreements continued to receive attention from the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union. The industry trade union has coordinated with the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association to negotiate and sign the 6th Industry Collective Labor Agreement with many contents beneficial to workers regarding wages, shift meals, and benefits for female workers and workers in difficult circumstances.

These policies are the basis for businesses to refer to in the process of developing and implementing policies at enterprises. There were 86 participating units, corresponding to 86,347 union members, accounting for 78.4%.

In the group of targets for coordination in implementing the 2025 - 2030 term, the Textile and Garment Trade Union strives for 100% of enterprises and units with trade union organizations qualified to represent, negotiate, and sign Collective Labor Agreements according to the provisions of law. 75-80% of affiliated units participate in the Vietnam Textile and Garment Collective Labor Agreement.

In particular, promoting dialogue and effective collective bargaining is identified as one of the three breakthroughs of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union.

To achieve the above target, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union has proposed solutions to improve the capacity to negotiate, sign and implement Collective Labor Agreements with policies beneficial to employees; focus on wages, shift meals, working conditions, benefits, increase the rate of Collective Labor Agreements achieving type A and B.

In addition, coordinate with employers in developing and implementing the democratic Regulations, the coordination regulations between the profession and the Trade Union; organize annual conferences for civil servants and public employees, and conferences for workers; organize dialogues, improve the quality of dialogues at enterprises, promptly resolve workers' concerns.

The trade union also participates in inspecting, inspecting, supervising compliance with the law, implementing policies for employees, and giving timely opinions for businesses to adjust.

Proactively grasp the labor relations situation and promptly warn of conflict risks, prevent labor disputes and spontaneous strikes beyond the scope of resolution of enterprises, the Group and the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union.

Another solution developed by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union is to increase propaganda and dissemination of laws so that workers improve their understanding, awareness of law compliance and labor discipline. Thereby, workers can proactively protect their legitimate and legal rights and interests as well as the rights and responsibilities stipulated in the Collective Labor Agreement.
