Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee agreed to arrange 91 administrative units into 36 communes and wards

On April 22, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province held a meeting and agreed with the draft submission, project and resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Binh Duong province in 2025.

The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has unanimously approved the plan to arrange 91 administrative units into 36 communes and wards. Of which, there are 24 wards and 12 communes.

36 communes and wards after the arrangement all meet and exceed the prescribed standards according to Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH15.

After the arrangement, Binh Duong province will have 36 communes and wards left. Of which, 24 wards include: Dong Hoa, Di An, Tan Dong Hiep, Thuan An, Thuan Giao, Binh Hoa, Lai Thieu, An Phu, Binh Duong, Chanh Hiep, Thu Dau Mot, Phu Loi, Vinh Tan, Binh My, Tan Uyen, Tan Hiep, Tan Khanh, Phu An, Tay Nam, Long Nguyen, Ben Cat, Chanh Phu Hoa, Thoi Hoa, Tan Dinh.

12 communes include: Bac Tan Uyen, Thuong Tan, Phu Giao, Phuoc Sang, Phuoc Hoa, Phuoc Vinh, Tru Van Tho, Bau Bang, Minh Thanh, Long Hoa, Dau Tieng, Thanh An communes.

Of the 36 communes and wards, Binh Duong ward is a key ward of the province, established on the basis of merging Hoa Phu ward, Phu My ward, Phu Tan ward and Phu Chanh ward - Tan Uyen city. Binh Duong ward headquarters is located in Hoa Phu ward.

In addition, the province has 9 key communes and wards in 9 localities including: Di An ward, headquartered at Di An city People's Committee, key ward of Di An area; Lai Thieu ward, headquartered at Thuan An city People's Committee, is a key ward of Thuan An area;

Thu Dau Mot Ward, headquartered at Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, is a key ward of Thu Dau Mot area; Tan Uyen Ward, headquartered at Tan Uyen City People's Committee, is a key ward of Tan Uyen area;

Ben Cat ward, headquartered at Ben Cat City People's Committee, is a key ward of Ben Cat area; Bac Tan Uyen commune, headquartered at Bac Tan Uyen District People's Committee, is a key commune of Bac Tan Uyen area;

Phuoc Vinh commune, headquartered at Phu Giao district People's Committee, is a key commune of Phu Giao area; Bau Bang commune, headquartered at Bau Bang district People's Committee, is a key commune of Bau Bang area; Dau Tieng commune, headquartered at Dau Tieng district People's Committee, is a key commune of Dau Tieng area.

Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province had collected opinions on the project to end district-level activities and merge commune-level areas. The consultation was organized through the conference and through survey forms.

After collecting opinions, the People's Council of Binh Duong province will meet before April 25, 2025 to complete the Project to submit to the Central Government.
