People's Police University receives the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces
Ho Chi Minh City - After 50 years of development, the People's Police University has trained nearly 170,000 students, making important contributions to the police force and society.
On April 19, the People's Police University held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its traditional day (April 24, 1976 - April 24, 2026) and receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Truong Tan Sang - former Politburo Member, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Comrade Nguyen Tan Dung - former Politburo Member, former Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Comrade General Le Hong Anh - former Politburo Member, former Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, former Minister of Public Security; Comrade General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo Member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security; Comrade Nguyen Van Nen - former Politburo Member, former Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee...

After 50 years, the People's Police University has trained and fostered professional skills for nearly 170,000 domestic and foreign students. Among them, there are nearly 70,000 university-level students; nearly 3,000 master-level students; nearly 200 doctoral-level students; nearly 2,000 university-level students and professional development for leaders, officials, and students of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia, along with hundreds of thousands of students in other training systems and types.
Many trainees who grew up from the school have been and are holding important positions in the People's Public Security Forces, Party agencies, the State and localities.
Not only performing well in training tasks, the People's Police University is also a "bright spot" in performing unexpected political tasks and social security work.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Public Security, Minister of Public Security - praised and congratulated the outstanding achievements of generations of teachers and students of the School over the past 50 years.

The Minister emphasized that in the context of the country entering a new stage of development, with breakthrough policies on education and training, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, the task of human resource training is extremely urgent, and at the same time opens up great opportunities for People's Police schools, including the People's Police University, to break through and improve their contributions.
To meet the requirements in the new period, the Minister requested the school to focus on a number of key tasks: promoting the tradition of Heroic units, effectively implementing the Party's guidelines on education innovation; improving the quality of training, building the People's Police force "revolutionary, regular, elite, modern"; promoting innovation in programs and teaching methods, applying technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation; strengthening training associated with practice; improving digital capacity, thinking and skills for students. At the same time, focus on building a team of teachers and managers with qualities, capacity, enthusiasm, creativity, setting an example for students to follow.


With a 50-year tradition of construction and development, along with a dynamic and creative teaching staff and a spirit of solidarity and high determination, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security believe that the People's Police University will continue to create breakthroughs, excellently complete its tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people.
