Helicopters hanging flags for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification

In order to deploy a training plan with flight formations, ready for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the Air Defense - Air Force has developed a plan to select pilots and flight crews from three key units such as Regiment 916 (Division 371), Regiment 917 (Division 370) and Regiment 930 (Division 372).

According to Lao Dong on April 9, at Bien Hoa airport (Dong Nai), from early morning, hundreds of officers and soldiers, especially the pilots of the 3licons of helicopters, were ready for the training session.

About 10 modern helicopters such as Mi 8, Mi-171, Mi-17... were drilled by pilots to perform the flight of the national flag and the national flag to prepare for the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification. The mission of the helicopter crew was to fly the national flag over the Golden State.

The flags of similar size are 5.4 m long, 3.6 m wide, made from polyester, a type of fabric with tough, durable and breathable properties that ensure good movement. The process of hanging the flag on the helicopter includes the steps of collecting the flag and hanging the cable.

An 8 m long cable will be fixed to the hanger outside the helicopter with a counterweight of 120 kg. Ensure a tense flag rope, keep the flag in a beautiful state when performing at a speed of 80 - 120 km/h.

After a strict preparation and inspection process by all levels (captains, squadron leaders and battalions), the flight organization began training the company of about 10 helicopters.

Not only helicopters, other air forces with Su-30MK2, Yak-130 fighter jets are also practicing at Bien Hoa airport.
