General Secretary To Lam and his wife depart for an official visit to the Republic of Finland
This is the first visit of a General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam to Finland since the two countries established diplomatic relations.
At the invitation of President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, on October 20, General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi for an official visit to the Republic of Finland from October 20 to 22.
Official members of the delegation include: Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security;
Party Central Committee Secretary, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung; Party Central Committee member, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc; Party Central Committee member, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Thanh Nghi;
Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Member of the Party Central Committee, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang;
Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Vo Van Dung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission Bui Thi Quynh Van; Assistant General Secretary, Head of the Office of General Secretary To An Xo; Vietnamese Ambassador to Finland Pham Thi Thanh Binh.

Continuing the vibrant high-level foreign affairs activities since the beginning of the year, General Secretary To Lam's visit to Finland is a clear demonstration of the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, proactiveness, active and active comprehensive and extensive international integration and is also an important foreign activity to promote the implementation of Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation.
