HCMC - General Secretary To Lam and leaders and former leaders of the Party and State attended the opening ceremony of the 1st HCMC Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
On the morning of October 14, the first Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, officially opened.
The Congress was attended by comrades: General Secretary To Lam; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Politburo member, President Luong Cuong; former Politburo member, former President Nguyen Minh Triet, Truong Tan Sang; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Politburo member, former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Secretariat Phan Dien, Le Hong Anh.
The Congress was also attended by Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, and leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers.
Before the opening ceremony, General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and delegates visited the exhibition to welcome the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress.
According to the program, right after the opening ceremony, the Congress listened to the Report on the implementation results of the Resolution of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term and the direction and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term; along with the Report on reviewing the leadership and direction responsibilities of the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee in the last term.
In the morning, the Congress also announced and presented the decisions of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the appointment of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretariat, Deputy Secretaries, the Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. At the same time, the list of delegates attending the 14th National Party Congress was announced.
In particular, the Congress is also expected to listen to the speech of General Secretary To Lam.
