Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attends the groundbreaking ceremony of Viet Bac Highland School
Thai Nguyen - On the afternoon of January 11, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Infrastructure Investment Project for Viet Bac Highland School.
Also attending the groundbreaking ceremony at the Viet Bac Highland School bridge point (Thai Nguyen) were Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Mr. Mai Van Chinh - Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, Ministry of Education and Training; leaders of Thai Nguyen province.


Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that this is an important event demonstrating the strategic vision, aspiration for human development, and the affection that the Party, State and People have for ethnic minorities and mountainous areas.
"Investing in schools in mountainous areas and ethnic minorities is an investment in development; an investment in national affection, compatriotism; an investment in affection from heart to heart.
Educating the children of the people here is not only about teaching letters but also the key to opening up development opportunities, creating long-term livelihoods, consolidating the great national unity bloc, maintaining political-social stability and national defense and security.
Another student who goes to school, is nurtured, has conditions and is able to study safely, kindly and humanely is another good citizen for the country", the Prime Minister emphasized.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned ministries, branches and localities to focus on leading and directing closely, promptly resolving difficulties and problems, supporting contractors, construction units, and supervising the implementation of projects with the highest determination and effort.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented 60 gifts to ethnic minority students and outstanding students of Viet Bac High School; presented Viet Bac High School with 3 rooms for foreign language, art and information technology classes.
General Phan Van Giang also presented 50 gifts to outstanding and outstanding students of Viet Bac Highland High School.
The project to invest in facilities for Viet Bac Highland School is implemented on an area of 6.1 hectares.
The total investment for phase 1 is about 300 billion VND, using the central budget for the period 2021-2025, under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2030.


The items include: headquarters, multi-purpose building, lecturer area, dormitory, dining room, technical infrastructure system, trees and wastewater collection and treatment works... The construction time is expected to be within 300 days.
This is a large-scale project, of great significance to the long-term development of the school. At the same time, it continues to deeply demonstrate the care of the Party and State for the cause of education and training, including education and care for the children of ethnic minorities.
The project to invest in facilities for Viet Bac Highland School and university reserve schools under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions started construction to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.
This groundbreaking ceremony was held simultaneously at 3 locations: Viet Bac Highland School (Thai Nguyen province); Sam Son Ethnic University Reserve School (Thanh Hoa) and Ho Chi Minh City University Reserve School.
