Prime Minister receives leaders of a group of large projects in Hanoi
The Prime Minister suggested that the Pacific Group study and participate in the metro project connecting Tan Son Nhat airport - Long Thanh airport.
On the afternoon of January 9, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa - founder of Pacific Construction Group, a large private enterprise of China in the field of investment, construction, operation and infrastructure management, continuously in the top 500 largest corporations globally for 10 consecutive years.
Pleased to meet Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa again, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the group for participating in important projects in Hanoi in the past time as a contractor; welcomed the group's proposals to participate in major infrastructure projects in Vietnam in the coming time.
The Prime Minister suggested that the group invest more in Vietnam, cooperate with Vietnamese enterprises, have specific and typical projects and products associated with technology transfer, contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam and contribute to promoting the two countries' relationship that is developing very well, bringing benefits to both sides.
Emphasizing the important role of planning with a broad vision and deep thinking, the Prime Minister suggested that the Pacific Group continue to study and participate in projects in Vietnam to more effectively exploit development spaces, including the metro project from Tan Son Nhat airport to Long Thanh airport.
For his part, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa said that the Pacific Group has won the bid and is implementing 3 major projects in Hanoi, including the project to build Tu Lien bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, starting on May 19, 2025; the project to build Ngoc Hoi bridge and the approach roads at both ends of the bridge, starting on August 19, 2025; the project to build Hanoi urban railway line 5 Van Cao - Hoa Lac, starting on December 19, 2025.
Reporting to the Prime Minister on the implementation of the above projects, Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa also presented the group's cooperation plan in Vietnam in the coming time; expressed his desire to participate in major infrastructure projects, continue long-term cooperation in Vietnam according to the orientation that the Prime Minister has commented on.
