Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has new tasks
The Prime Minister is the Head of the National Steering Committee for overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam.
Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 728/QD-TTg to complete the National Steering Committee for Overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam (Steering Committee).
Accordingly, the Head of the Steering Committee is the Prime Minister.
The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Minister of National Defense (Standing Deputy Head); Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Minister of Health.
Members of the Steering Committee include: Deputy Minister of National Defense (permanent member); Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Deputy Minister of Health; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Minister of Public Security; Deputy Minister of Finance; Deputy Minister of Justice; Deputy Head of the Government Office; Leaders of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Leaders of the Department of Military Science/Ministry of National Defense (Deputy Secretary).
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral problems, solutions to mobilize domestic and foreign resources to quickly overcome the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam;
Assist the Prime Minister in directing, coordinating and urging ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to implement important, inter-sectoral issues in implementing programs and plans on overcoming the consequences of bombs, mines and chemical toxins after the war in Vietnam;
Organize a preliminary review, summarize and evaluate the results of implementing key tasks and solutions to overcome the consequences of bombs, mines, chemical toxins after the war and carry out other tasks according to the assignment and direction of the Prime Minister.
