Prime Minister directs to remove material obstacles for strategic projects in Ca Mau
Ca Mau - The Prime Minister requested the design of additional intersections and rest stops at transport projects, especially the transport route to Hon Khoai Island to develop tourism.
On the morning of December 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction progress of the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, the traffic route to Hon Khoai island and the Hon Khoai Dual-use General Port in Dat Mui commune, Ca Mau province.
After inspecting, inspecting the situation, working with ministries, branches, agencies and Ca Mau province right at the Forward Command of the projects, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the development of Dat Mui has received great attention from General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State.

The Prime Minister requested strict implementation of the instructions of General Secretary To Lam during his visit and work on Hon Khoai Island on November 19 and the Resolutions of the Government and the direction of the Prime Minister on socio-economic development, associated with ensuring national defense and security in Ca Mau and Hon Khoai Island.
The Prime Minister welcomed the Ministry of National Defense, immediately after the Government issued a Resolution on the implementation of the above 4 projects, it decided to implement according to the process and form of emergency construction and organize immediate implementation; after only 4 months, from above, observing the works that have taken shape on the field.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated Ca Mau province's site clearance implementation with a record time, especially the people of Ca Mau province have given up land for projects and at the same time requested Ca Mau province to continue to pay attention, care for, create livelihoods, resettlement... so that the people have given up land for projects with a better life, at least equal to the previous one, the following year better than the previous one.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested units to design additional intersections and rest stops at transport projects, especially the transport route to Hon Khoai Island to exploit tourism development, these works are not only traffic works but also tourism products.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that because these are construction works in an emergency situation, he requested the Ministry of National Defense to mobilize more forces from Military Region 9 to support the construction forces to speed up the progress of the projects. The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with Can Tho City and An Giang Province to provide sand mines and stone mines to construction units to serve enough construction materials for the projects.
Construction units continue to organize construction with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 teams; overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, not losing to storms and winds; not having enough day to work, taking advantage of working at night, taking advantage of extra days off; eating and sleeping urgently; only discussing work, not backtracking".
Regarding connecting traffic works, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Construction to direct investors and contractors to speed up the construction of the Hau Giang - Ca Mau expressway section to complete before January 31, 2026 to complete the entire expressway from Cao Bang to Ca Mau and then connect the route to Dat Mui to Hon Khoai.

Regarding the recommendations of Ca Mau province, the Prime Minister agreed to implement the fight against landslides and erosion of Ca Mau coast; requested the province to study and implement the combination of embankments, road construction, and sea encroachment under the public-private cooperation method, and vulnerable sections will be used as public investment projects. The Prime Minister also welcomed Ca Mau province to build a traffic route connecting the two central provinces after the merger (old Ca Mau and Bac Lieu centers).
