Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ngo Le Van will replace Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu as Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has just signed Decision No. 2457/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on personnel changes for the Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO.

According to the decision, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Ngo Le Van - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs to concurrently hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, replacing Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu.

The Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO (Committee) was established on June 15, 1977, with the function of advising and assisting the Prime Minister in relations with UNESCO and directing and coordinating the activities of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities related to UNESCO.
